About

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology. My advisor is Dr. Irfan Essa and I am in the College of Computing. Prior to coming to Georgia Tech, I completed my Masters in Computer & Information Systems from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi Pakistan. I was advised by Dr. Sohail Sattar and Dr. Humera Noor.

My research objective is to understand activities in still images and videos using minimal human supervision. I am interested in designing algorithms and systems that bypass the need to manually label datasets for visual recognition. My thesis (currently getting ready to graduate) is about learning intermediate representations to recognize activities and events in visual media.
