About

I have recently completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology. My adviser was Dr. Irfan Essa at the College of Computing. Prior to coming to Georgia Tech, I completed my Masters in Computer & Information Systems from NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi Pakistan. I was advised by Dr. Sohail Sattar and Dr. Humera Noor.

My research interests involve recognizing activities in still images and videos using minimal human supervision. I am interested in designing algorithms and systems that bypass the need to manually label datasets for visual recognition. My thesis is about learning intermediate representations to recognize activities and events in visual media. You can find my CV here.
